No doubt. Toolbox is easy. You give them input, and they give you the output. But do you understand the underlying process? No! Yes! Maybe.
If you study the concept and theoretical, you'll understand. Not all. but some. BUT if you work on your own command, you'll study the underlying process so that you know what's happened when you write this command, compared to that command.
Knowledge is about long life learning. It never have an ending. As long as you want to learn, than you get the knowledge.
Knowledge is worldwide. It never have a limitation or barrier. As long as you want to learn, you get the knowledge.
